I work conceptually. The key to understanding my work is by grasping the theories I infuse into my work. My intentions with art are to capture the attention of viewers and let them immerse themselves in my world even if it's just for a split second. I have always wanted people to make their own conclusions about what my art means, I don’t necessarily want it to be apparent straight away, as there are many layers within my practice, and it doesn’t just boil down to one thing. Something that has regularly informed my art is philosophy, I’ve realised now that throughout my life that the ‘philosophical’ way of thinking has always been a massive staple in my work. Intertwined with that, spirituality, nature, and past personal events have also been a big point in my work. I find art to be a place where I can safely air out some of the most life-altering moments in my life, it is therapeutic to me.
